GNREADER 'Global Network for Renewable Energy Approaches in Desert Regions' for researches and consultations.
- GNReader is an international net work for researches, engineers, social workers and decision makers who are interested in renewable energy resources in the desert regions.
- The establishment of the network was the result of the declaration of 'Global Conference for Renewable Energy Approaches in Desert Regions' GCReader- conference in Amman 2006, Amman declaration says “The Energy Center of the university of Jordan should work towards establishing an International net work of experts, scientists and policy - makers in these areas for cooperation towards the above goals. “
The net was established to stimulate the exploitation of renewable energy resource in the desert regions world wide and use that energy efficiently and feasibly.
- The mission of the net will be conducted and carried out through commissions of different fields, each commission to be managed by an expert in that field. Commissions cover: photovoltaic systems, solar thermal power, biomass, underground water pumping, geothermal, desalination, wind energy, buildings, and desert life and socio economics.
- The net work has also an e- NEWSLETTER as a mean of communication media between members and interested people to keep them connected and updated with the recent issues, news, projects, activities, legislations, initiatives, and opportunities related to renewable energy and energy efficiency on the national and international levels..
